Membrane

We offer professional membrane systems for both residential and commercial properties. Membrane is ideal for flat and low-pitched roofs, and can also be used for decking and below-ground tanking. It provides a durable, watertight solution that protects your building from the elements and performs exceptionally well in extreme environments, including coastal properties.

Farnsworth Roofing is proud to be a licensed local installer of Viking Roofspec systems. Our experienced team handles everything from surface preparation to expert installation, ensuring your roof is long-lasting, leak-resistant and built to perform.

Types of Membrane Roofing/Decking

Viking Enviroclad:

TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) waterproofing membrane offers absolute watertight integrity for low-slope roofs. Enviroclad has been widely used across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands on thousands of residential and commercial projects.

Enviroclad is a mesh-reinforced, heat-weldable waterproofing membrane that can be installed on most low-slope and pitched roofs, gutters and parapets, pond liners, balconies, under floating decks and roof gardens. It can be installed on both new builds and existing structures, delivering a durable and versatile waterproofing solution.

Viking Dec-K-ing:

Viking WarmRoof:

This roofing system consists of a membrane, rigid insulation board and a vapour barrier installed over a structural substrate.

It is secured using F.A.S.T. adhesive technology, which avoids penetrating the thermal layer while still delivering strong wind uplift resistance. Improved energy efficiency can help offset the cost of a re-roof over time, depending on the insulation thickness used.

Viking WarmRoof is also a practical solution for overlaying an existing low-slope roof with weather-tightness or UV resistance issues.

Viking Torch-On:

This is a two-layer torch-on waterproofing system using advanced modified bitumen technology. Viking Roofspec partners with Italian manufacturer General Membrane to supply a range of high-performance, code-compliant systems, including APP, SBS, hybrid APAO, anti-root torch-on and a self-adhered option that requires no open flame during installation.

Designed to perform in New Zealand’s varied and demanding climate, these bituminous membrane systems are engineered from different compounds to deliver durability, flexibility and long-term weather resistance across a wide range of applications.

Viking Dec-K-ing:

This all-in-one vinyl sheet membrane provides a durable, hard-wearing, and visually appealing waterproof finish, making it an ideal solution for decking. Originally developed for the marine industry in the 1980s, it has since become a popular choice in construction thanks to its strength and reliability and is now widely used on homes and buildings around the world.

Viking Dec-K-ing is used in residential and commercial applications and is the ideal solution for coastal conditions. Dec-K-ing can be installed over treated flooring grade plywood, concrete and fibre cement.
